Hi there, I'm Fadhil, a budding portrait photographer located on the mostly sunny island Singapore.

I love photographing people. Young, not so young, women, men, kids, it doesn't matter. To me, everyone is beautiful in their own way and I hope my photography could help them to see that for themselves.

I am currently a media educator, sharing with young minds skills in photography and film making, hopefully to nurture their talents so that one day they could pursue their creative dreams.

I started out photographing cosplay events way back in 2006. Without realizing, those were my first steps in finding out that I am a portrait photographer at heart. Fast forward a few years, I started photographing freelance female models in group photo shoots.

The experience changed me. It opened my mind to what is possible and what I really wanted to photograph.

I started to plan my own personal photo shoots, from the theme, setting, makeup and wardrobe and have been fortunate to work with many talented and splendid freelance models, makeup artists and stylists.

I have found my dream reality.

I would describe my body of work as soft and contemplative. I have never been a high fashion or creative makeup kind of photographer.

This does limit me to the kind of work that I do, but I believe style is unique to the artist and that I should follow my heart.

I find inspiration in music. I could draw up the most elaborate of photo shoots in my mind with the right melody. Most of the time the ideas are so grand and ethereal that I don't know where and how to start. Maybe I'm weird unique that way.

Why would someone want to collaborate with me?
I believe I could always bring something to the table, ideas wise as well as technical expertise. We might not have the same way of thinking, but a diverse set of ideas and experiences are what will make the photo shoot special.

I am always learning skills from the other side of the lens such as how to direct the shoot, connecting with the team, learning makeup, and understanding styling & posing. This, I feel, will allow me to see things from various perspectives, leading to a better experience and overall quality of work.

At the end of the day, I would love to be remembered as the photographer who does not take things too hard, able to bring the best in the subject and team and still achieve a high quality of work. Is this even possible? I'm sure of it, and hopefully you'll be part of this learning adventure.
